Website Terms of Use

About Opse Health and these terms

This website is operated by Hatch Medical Pty Ltd as trustee for Hatch Medical Trust, ABN 50 154 332 244, trading as Opse Health (Opse, we, us), at 95 Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley, Queensland 4006, Australia.

These terms explain the basis on which we make this website and its educational material available. They concern website use; they do not replace individual program terms, appointment arrangements, informed consent or any professional duties owed when clinical care is provided. Any separate service agreement must be explained before you commit to the service.

For administrative questions or complaints, email [email protected]. For enquiries about care, email [email protected].

Educational information and individual care

Website pages, articles, guides and general program information are educational. They are not a diagnosis, prescription or personalised medical recommendation. General information cannot account for your circumstances, medical history, medicines or examination findings.

Do not start, stop or change treatment, or delay obtaining professional care, because of website content. Discuss decisions with an appropriately qualified practitioner. Reading a page, downloading a guide or submitting an enquiry does not by itself establish a treating relationship or mean that Opse has accepted responsibility for ongoing care.

Where individual clinical assessment, advice or treatment is provided, it is subject to the practitioner’s professional obligations, appropriate assessment and consent. Describing a program as educational does not remove those obligations or your rights in relation to personal or health information.

Emergencies and urgent concerns

Opse is not an emergency service. This website, application forms and email inboxes are not continuously monitored for urgent clinical concerns. In an emergency in Australia, call 000. For other urgent or concerning symptoms, seek timely assessment from your GP, an urgent care service or an emergency department.

Applications and suitability

Applying expresses interest and helps us assess suitability and availability. It does not guarantee acceptance, a particular appointment time, access to a specific test or treatment, or a clinical outcome. A care arrangement begins when the relevant service has been agreed and any required assessment and consent steps have been completed.

Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge. Only submit another person’s information if authorised, and disclose any limitations on your authority. Let your clinician know about relevant changes during a clinical care relationship.

Our published care model is face-to-face in Brisbane. People outside Brisbane should confirm suitability, attendance and follow-up requirements before making travel arrangements. Website availability across Australia does not mean that all services can be delivered remotely or in every location.

Clinical judgement, testing and outcomes

Longevity and preventive care involve decisions made under uncertainty. No program, consultation, screening test or intervention guarantees longer life, disease prevention, early detection of every condition, or a particular health result.

Investigations are considered according to individual circumstances. Screening can have limitations, including false-positive or false-negative results, incidental findings and additional follow-up. Suitability, alternatives and material risks should be discussed as part of clinical decision-making. Applying does not entitle a person to a requested investigation, referral or prescription where it is not clinically appropriate.

References to longevity, preventive, preventative, bespoke or personalised medicine describe the approach to care. They do not claim recognition of a separate medical specialty or a practitioner qualification beyond those accurately stated on the clinician’s profile.

Programs, prices and external providers

Published program prices are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. The relevant inclusions, fees, payment schedule and any cancellation arrangements must be confirmed before you commit. A price update on this website does not retrospectively change an existing agreed service or authorise a new charge.

Program fees are private. Pathology, imaging and other external diagnostic costs are separate unless expressly included. External providers supply and charge for their own services. Ask about any additional costs before agreeing to an investigation. Opse remains responsible for its own services and obligations; referring to an external provider does not remove that responsibility.

These website terms do not create a cancellation fee, automatic renewal or blanket no-refund policy. Any proposed service-specific conditions must be separately disclosed and remain subject to applicable law. Contact us if you need to change arrangements or discuss a service concern.

Employer-funded programs

A corporate funding arrangement does not remove the participant’s clinical autonomy, consent rights or confidentiality. Proposed services, costs, administrative information sharing and any reporting arrangements need to be agreed before a team program proceeds. An employer’s payment does not automatically give it access to clinical notes, medical history or test results. See our Privacy Policy.

Australian consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. This includes applicable guarantees concerning the provision of services with due care and skill and any remedies available where a guarantee is not met.

Statements about the limitations of website information or uncertain health outcomes do not waive those rights, excuse a failure to meet professional obligations, or release Opse from liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact [email protected] about a service problem so it can be considered on its merits.

Our Privacy Policy explains collection, use, disclosure, access, correction and complaint options. Using this website is not blanket consent to health-information collection or marketing. Specific notices and consent choices apply where relevant.

Some links take you to external sites, including the Jotform application platform and independent diagnostic or information providers. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not mean that we endorse every statement on that site, and we do not control its availability or content. This does not limit our responsibility for how we select and use our own service providers.

Website content and appropriate use

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but evidence and service information can change. Articles should be read in their publication context. Tell us if you identify an error or inaccessible content. We may correct or update website material; changes do not retrospectively amend an existing service agreement.

Unless stated otherwise, website text, branding, graphics and materials are owned by or licensed to Opse. You may read, download and print material for personal, non-commercial use and share links to the website. Other reuse requires permission unless authorised by law. Keep attribution and notices intact and do not alter content in a way that misrepresents its meaning. Copyright exceptions and other statutory rights remain available.

Do not use the website unlawfully, impersonate another person, upload malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation or other users’ privacy. We may take proportionate steps to protect the site from misuse. This does not prevent legitimate complaints, reviews or the exercise of legal rights.

Some contextual images are illustrative or generated and do not document actual patient consultations or treatment outcomes. Clinical diagrams are educational, not diagnostic images for individual assessment.

Concerns, governing law and changes

Please send website or service complaints to [email protected]. We will consider the issue and respond. You may also contact an appropriate regulator, including the Queensland Office of the Health Ombudsman for health-service concerns or the OAIC for privacy concerns. You are not required to waive those options or agree to confidential arbitration to raise a complaint.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory rights you have elsewhere. Queensland courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction; this does not prevent you from using another court or tribunal where the law permits.

We may update these website terms prospectively and display a new date. A change does not retrospectively remove accrued rights or change a paid service already agreed. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
